Excitement Builds as M&G Research Prepares to Relaunch Mental Wellness Campaign at Local High Schools

As schools reopen across the country, the M&G Research Mental Wellness Campaign team is thrilled to announce its renewed commitment to supporting the mental health of high school learners. This fresh rollout marks an exciting chapter in the ongoing effort to make schools not only centres of academic excellence but also safe, supportive environments where learners can thrive emotionally and socially.

The high school years are a time of tremendous transformation students face a multitude of pressures ranging from academic demands and social dynamics to personal growth and future planning. Without the right support, these challenges can significantly impact their mental well-being, academic success, and overall development.

Recognising this, M&G Research is once again stepping in with its mental wellness campaign, focused on fostering openness, resilience, and mental health awareness among high school learners. Building on past successes, the campaign is set to create safe spaces within schools where learners can engage in honest conversations about mental health and access the support they need.

Siboniso Malinga, the campaign leader, expressed his enthusiasm for this renewed effort

“We are excited to be back in schools with a renewed mission to build spaces of safety and security for our learners. Our goal is to ensure that mental health is not a taboo topic, but rather something that is embraced and discussed openly. This campaign is about equipping students with tools to navigate their emotional journeys and build stronger, healthier school communities.”

M&G Research has seen firsthand the transformative impact that prioritising mental health can have on learners. The re-engagement with high schools, the campaign aims to continue breaking down stigma, promoting access to mental health resources, and empowering learners to take ownership of their emotional well-being.

As school corridors fill once again with the buzz of student life, this campaign couldn’t come at a more vital time. It is a hopeful reminder that when we prioritise mental health, we create learning environments that are not only productive but truly nurturing and safe for all.
