As temperatures drop and the cold sets in, too many in our communities are forced to endure winter without basic necessities. This season, M&G Research is committed to changing that with your help.
From 4 July to 29 August 2025, we invite you to participate in our ‘Warm Hearts, Warmer Winters’ campaign, an outreach initiative dedicated to collecting and distributing blankets, coats, shoes, scarves, gloves, and other winter essentials to vulnerable individuals and families in need.
Why This Campaign Matters
Winter can be a time of severe hardship for those without proper shelter, clothing, or resources. For many, the lack of a warm jacket or blanket is not just discomfort it’s a real risk to health and dignity. At M&G Research, we believe that our impact must extend beyond the walls of academia. Our social outreach efforts are rooted in compassion and the spirit of Ubuntu “I am because we are.”
Through this campaign, we aim to wrap hope around those who need it most, reminding them they are seen, valued, and supported.
How You Can Help
We’re calling on our community, clients, friends, and partners to make a tangible difference by donating:
- 🧥 Coats & Jackets
- 🛌 Blankets & Sleeping Bags
- 🧤 Scarves, Gloves, and Beanies
- 👟 Shoes (warm and gently used)
All donated items should be new or gently used and clean.
Drop-off Location
📍 17 Lennox Road, Windermere, Durban
Donations are welcome Monday to Friday, between 09:00 and 16:00.
Can’t Drop Off? We’ll Come to You!
If you’re unable to make it to the drop-off location, don’t worry. Simply call our office at +27 (031) 065 1929 and ask for Miss Mawande Mzobe, the project lead. She will gladly assist you with alternative donation arrangements, including item pick-up where feasible.
